Using muscle power on the hand pump car at the Strasburg Railroad is a new experience for most children, along with the chance to ride behind a steam locomotive on "The Road to Paradise". The Railroad's 45 minute trip through scenic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania farmland transports visitors of all ages back to the days of the "iron horse".

Since 1832 the Strasburg Railroad, affectionately known as "The Road to Paradise", has hauled freight and passengers through some of the most picturesque Amish countryside in the Pennsylvania Dutch country. Each year thousands of visitors come to historic Strasburg in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to ride America's odlest short-line railroad.
