Framed matted pastel portrait of Henry Kauffman ready to be hung. Frame has black enamel on edges and on quarter inch of top. Curved (inward) wood grained half inch and one sixteenth inch gold inner edge. One and one quarter inch beveled edge mat. Sticker: "Custom framed at: The Framery, Etc."
Three upper case and one lower case alphabets cross-stitched in black. Also numerals 1-6. Borders between lines, all but 4 in black thread. Of those white/ecru. one is long stitches, the remainder are cross-stitich.

Recently framed, includes holes for hanging but no eyebolts, hooks, or wire.
Red, oval-shaped wax seal (1.5 in w x 1.5 in l) on a paper square on a piece of 3in wide light blue silk ribbon. Four inches length is attached at top by 2 gold seal stickers with an H (Habersham?) to a piece of paper with "Seal of Robert Coleman" in brown in cursive below. printed in ink inside wooden backer: Seal of Robt. Coleman Lanc. Co. First Millionaire owned by S.E. Dyke Lanc. PA 1950. On ribbon banner at base of seal: In Omnia Paratus (Latin). Brown cardboard piece contains an oval frame perfect for this wax seal (mat between it and glass) that doesn't work with the dimensions of paper.
Piece of lining from President Buchanan's inaugural coat
Description
A 3.25 in x 4 in piece of red, finely woven fabric (may be cotton -- no sheen) attached with scotch tape. Typed below: This piece of lining is from President Buchanan's inaugural coat, made by Charles B. Fisher, a tailor, in 1857, Lancaster, Pa.
In ink on cardboard back: Presented 4/8/54 by a relative.
Red fabric is mounted on thin white paper. Two pieces of browned scotch tape holding top corners, damaging fabric. Stain from tape is visible on the back side of the white paper. Acidic cardboard on back. Needs to be conserved.
Between sheet with fabric and cardboard on back is a wedding photo of a Marine in uniform with his bride.
Inexpensive black frame with metal bendable tabs to secure.
