Unidentified couple. He is seated, she is standing. Also memorial card for George W. Nixon, son of Benjamin and Mary Nixon, born September 30, 1856, died January 24, 1884.
Provenance
Album thought to belong to the Willson family who were the last owners of Wheatland. Contains both cabinet cards and carte de visites, as well as a few tintypes. Cover is brown with black and gold trim. Very few of the photographs are identified.

Description on above referenced billhead: ""Historical Society of Pennsylvania: Late eighteenth-century billhead of Benjamin Harbeson was printed from a plate engraved by Henry Dawkins, who was one of the earliest engravers in America. The importance of this item lies in its portrayal of the styles of vessels made at that time."
