April 1764 issue of The Gentleman's Magazine includes article on massacre by Benjamin Franklin. 10 January entry in Charles Mason's diary contains discussion of massacre. Manuscript copy of remonstrance, signed by Matthew Smith and James Gibson and sent to Governor John Penn, lays out grievances against provincial government and justifies attacks on Native Americans.

The Musical Composers of Lancaster County Collection contains sheet music written by local composers. Some local titles are "Lancaster German Waltz" and "Lancaster Theme & Gratitude Theme." Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de La Fayette (1757-1834), better known in America as Lafayette, was a French aristocrat and military officer who fought in the Revolutionary War. He commanded American troops in several battles, including the siege of Yorktown. He visited Lancaster County in July of 1825.

Description
This collection contains three programs for events held by the Community Historians of Lancaster County between 1967 and 1979.
Admin/Biographical History
The Community Historians of Lancaster County was organized by a group of local historians and local history enthusiasts in 1962. They began holding meetings at Franklin and Marshall College's Fackenthal Library and later held events and lectures at various historical sites around Lancaster County.
