Myers must have been a swimming pool lifeguard for Y.M.C.A. in his Senior High years.
Sports letter patch from J.P. McCaskey High School for 1943. Blue and white chenille on felt with a plasticized linen backing. Myers graduated from McCaskey this year and was on the wrestling team.

Pillowcases (A & B) are constructed of polka dot pattern with yellow ground cotton fabric alternating with 4 patch blocks of various patterned printed fabrics set on point. Bolster cover (C) is constructed of polka dot pattern with yellow ground cotton fabric alternating with 9 patch blocks of various patterned printed fabrics set on point. Reverse panel of each is composed of polka dot pattern with yellow ground cotton fabric with a flat felled seam.
Collection of ten Lancaster Y.M.C.A ribbons awarded to Robert C. Myers for athletic achievement when he was a boy in Lancaster City. There are 6 blue and 4 red ribbons with paper tag on reverse noting the name, class, event and award.
Newspaper article "Flashback" notes, "...in his wrestling & gym careers at the YMCA, he won a total of 34 ribbons in 1940 in the 85-pound class and won 34 in 1941 at 95. In the Interclass gym meets he won 25 firsts and 9 seconds."

White sleeves heavily stained yellow with multiple light and dark smaller stains. Overall moderate wear; number on back is worn, white piping on jersey front soiled and worn.
Losses to stitching on rear pants pocket. Bottom seam of pants worn with a 1.5" long tear at bottom of each pant leg. Two small holes below back pants pocket.

Baseball uniform, white cotton flannel short sleeve jersey and knickerbocker pants with dark blue piping trim and lettering. Vertical side panels of light linen or cotton under arms of jersey were added later to accommodate girth. White plastic buttons on shirt and fly; two wide belt loops on front only; reinforced knees; one back pants pocket.
"LANCASTER" in dark blue letters is on front of jersey; "ED. STUMPF'S / SERVICE" on back. Maker's tag at neck reads: "Shenk Bros. / 'EVERYTHING FOR SPORT', LANCASTER, PENNA."
Overall moderate to strong wear with yellow overall staining. Smaller dark stains on jersey back and especially on front of pantlegs and knees. Lettering detaching. Blue piping worn on pants. Large tears at lower left leg bottom with repairs. Side panels on jersey were later addition.
