Teapot with lid
Description
Molded pearlware teapot with applied molded handle and spout. Decorated with red transfer printed decoration of flowers, shells, C-scrolls and historic scenes of Japanese or Chinese buildings on both sides of body & lid. Both body (a) and domed lid (b) with knop are molded in multi-lobed, bulbous form. Body sits on 4 short, naturalistic feet. Neck above body narrows and then flares in an irregular form around oval mouth. Lid has the same decoration as body. Attached labels read, "SD 134" and the now-removed "75.64.80", likely signifying a 1980 loan to the Heritage Center.
