Stevens epitaph: I repose in this quiet and secluded spot, not from any natural preference for solitude, but finding other cemteries limited as to race, I have chosen this as my last resting place, that I might illustrate in my death the pricnicples I advocated through a long life, "The equality of man before his Creator."

Parental consent forms, filed with marriage applications, were completed by parent or guardian of under-age applicants and contain the name of parent or guardian, place of current residence, residence of child or ward, and signature of parent or guardian.
