Carter to sign a release; is generally satisfied with the trustee’s account of Harriet Lane Johnston’s trust but questions some small charges; says that Mrs. Johnston is upset that the papers of James Buchanan are in the hands of Mr. E. Y. Buchanan, especially after his handling of other items including the picture of the Prince of Wales; wants the papers, valued at $50,000 by Judge Black, transferred to the Safe Deposit Company.
