Dedication of Service Star Flag in the auditiorium of Manheim Township High School during World War II. 111 former students were currently serving in the war. Standing are June Floyd, left, and Rose Zangari, both of whom had four brothers serving. Seated left to right are Arthur Ott, principal; Sgt. Robert Herr of the class of 1936; Dr. C. Howard Witmer, school board president; Rev. C. E. Rice, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Neffsville; and W. E. Nitrauer, supervising principal of the district.

Photo take December 7, 1929. William Grant, Christiana businessman and president of Lancaster Airways, Inc. was killed in an auto accident three days later.
