The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Four post mahogany veneer bed owned by James Buchanan. Includes two sets of rails. Originals have carvings on top edge and hold multiple slats. Modern set accommodates modern box spring and mattress with iron supports.
Account book of Edward Young Buchanan listing subscriptions to the Missionary Record, donations on behalf of the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society, and personal household receipts and expenditures from 1838 to 1840. 78 pages, pages 5-6 and 8-16 blank. Leather bound. 20 July 1834 - 18 April 1840.
