Silver two-handled bowl or loving cup. Engraved, "To: Ezra B. Fritz / from some of his friends / 1844 June 22 1909 / Quarryville, PA " engrave on back of object, the list of friends.
Ornate chased finial of cane or walking stick. Cane itself is not attached. Foliate and floral motifs. Thin metal filled with heavy-weight, dark substance. Tip engraved with: "Presented/ H L/ to/ Trout/Upon his Retirement/ From Lancaster City Council/ After/ Fifteen Years Service/ April 3 1907".
Letter from Harriet Lane Johnston to Mary Speer talking of the wintry weather, May’s inability to wear the ulster because of her weak back, Charles’ bad cold, Ethel stopping by from her travels in several cities, Harriet’s wish to spend some time with Mary in a quiet spot and Lillian Pauncefote’s wedding.
