This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Letter from James Buchanan to J. L. Edwards recommending William Barclay of Colerain Township, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and mentioning the deposition of Elisabeth Lisle in Barclay’s favor. Addressed to J. L. Edwards, Esquire, Commissioner of Pensions, Washington City. Letter is its own envelope with remains of a red seal. (housed in Oversized Box 1) Lancaster.
