This may be the "stiegel-type" bowl described in a letter dated August 21, 1956 from Elizabeth Kieffer to the donor of such a bowl, Miss Mary L. Kohler. The accession number may have been 1956.11??
Colorless non-leaded glass and sterling silver cruet set with three shakers. Shakers are octagonal, two mold glass with sterling silver tops. Base is sterling silver with handle and three circular holders. Bottom glass rim has diamond and rectangle design, glass bottom has starburst design. Bottom rim marked Sterling 1087.
a) Leaded cut glass decanter with ground and cut stopper. The lip at the decanter bottle opening has a 1+-inch opening, with three rings on the neck. The decanter flares with decorative trapezoidal shapes all around it. 10 rounded shapes decorated the bottom of the decanter.
b) Glass pointed decanter insert/top. From the 1.5-inch high cylinder base that fits into the neck of the decanter, the clear glass decorative top flares into a hexagonal base that tapers into a 3.5-inch point
Red stained blown glass decanter with etched grapevine ornamentation encircling both the body and the stopper. Vasiform or "mallet form" body with rounded shoulders surmounted by an abrupt swelling that quickly turns back in; tall cylindrical neck tapers in toward the top with center knop; mouth has wide, everted rim. Pontil mark on bottom Tear shaped stopper has cylindrical plug and pontil mark.
Leaded, blown, wide-mouth glass dish. Visible pontil mark on bottom, enamel decoration of flowers and leaves on bowl. Knop stem and base have cranberry colored enamel with gold leaves, stars, and rim outline.
