The Mayor's Court was established at the incorporation of the City of Lancaster in 1818, and was composed of the mayor, recorder, and aldermen with powers and jurisdiction analogous to the Court of Quarter Sessions of the Peace, Oyer and Terminer, and Jail Delivery. It was abolished on 6 February 1849.

Moser brothers had ice delivery here. 615 Fremont Street, parked truck in rear, purchased ice from Peoples' Consumer or Herr's. Site was a former tavern owned by George Moser.

Photo album entitled "My Cabbage Hill" compiled by Francis X. Schaller, Jr., of photos of the Cabbage Hill neighborhood of Lancaster. Photographs were taken in 2008, but Mr. Schaller's memories of the neighborhood from 1935 to 1948, from the age of 5 to the age of 18, are included. Mr. Schaller is an Armstrong retiree and grew up in the Cabbage Hill neighborhood.
