Summary
Worner presents the text of a letter from Benjamin Franklin to Edward Shippen in 1755. Franklin, as a member of the Pennsylvania Assembly, was informing Shippen that he had arranged for two men to work on "the road" [Braddock's road?] and that they would report to Shippen for directions. The writer of this article did not know what "the road " was. He says he cited the letter only because it was one of few letters written by Franklin to someone in Lancaster.
