U.S. American eagle painted on black silk fabric. A flying bald eagle painted in color with red, white and blue stars-and-stripes shield covering its breast. Talons grip arrow in one foot; olives branch is grasped in the other. In its beak, the eagle grips the end of a ribbon flying behind it and dropping below so we can read the back of it with "E Pluribus Unum" in mirror writing. Appears to have been part of a flag.

Fragile, brittle; folded in certain places, but too brittle to flatten. Paint is cracked in places and fabric has separated in other places.
48-star United States flag with "G.A.R." stamped onto stripes below and to the right of field of stars. The flag is hemmed with machine stitching on three sides (the bottom is selvage). Five small tacks on the left attach it too a round wood dowel with a pointed finial at the top. White paint on the dowel is peeling off.

Wool navy blue flag, hemmed on three sides. White canvas on one 15.5-inch edge has two metal grommets on both ends. Red, white and blue cloth label reads "The name Annin Guarantees Quality./ The Best Since 1847/High Grade/ Reg. U.S. Pat. Off./ All Wool Bunting."
"16 x 24" written in pencil on canvas binding. Made by company, Annin.
Union Fire Co. flag. Formerly green fabric (cotton), doubled over with rod pocket at top. Machine-stitches on sides and bottom. "UNION No. 1" in white muslin machine-stitched on both sides. Top and bottom on one side: black thread to hold string to tie the banner. String broke from bottom and is tied on a top corner.
United States flag with 34 stars. Hand-stitched: 3 edges hemmed. Left edge bound with 5 metal rings attached for hanging. Blue field is created twice, back and front (doubled over) with white stars stitched on.
