Wooden, oval band box. Hand painted with picture of young lady carrying basket of carrots with two rabbits at her side. Painted red band at bottom of box. Written on bottom of box 'antique box decorated by The Kauffmans Henry and Zoe.'
Wooden walnut cane with bone handle, silver colored metal ferrule on top of shaft. 3.25 in long curved piece of bone tipped in a 1 in long tapered piece of wood. Bone is anchored to cane and join is covered by a tarnished metal band with a scalloped upper edge. Band is decorated with a duster of three upside down y-shapes marked to resemble rope. Section narrow; lengths of wooden cane as it narrows are: bottom tip .5 in, 10.75 in section, 9.75 in section. 8.75 in section, handle.
Cane, wood turned in one piece with knob at top, copper colored metal ferrule at end. 1 in red metal band around the bottom tip. Wood at bottom. Lengthwise grain along the cane, narrowing neck before ball at top of cane. All a single piece of wood.
Wooden walking stick or cane, high luster finish over dark stained wood, 6 knobs on three sections of shaft, natural knob at top, missing tip. WIder rounded top grip tapers. Lack of smooth finish on 1 inch at tip of cane.
Thick natural finish, natural shaped poplar wood cane or walking stick with metal ferrule tip. The one inch ferrule tip is nailed in two places to lower end of cane; also, it is rusted so iron or other ferrous metal. Top may be missing a cap as two nails are visible.
Thick natural finish, natural shaped wood cane or walking stick with large knotted top. Natural branch with burl handle at right angle to straight stick with tiny stubs of alternate branches, evenly spaced the entire lelength. bark has been varnished; lower 2 inches bare with .75 inch tapered end of bark-less wood.
Tapered round walnut wood cane with ball-shaped ivory top and steel waffled tip. Taper wooden cane with smooth dark finish. One and one half in metal band at tip. Bottom end wooden is waffled for gripping. Top grip is a bone globe with neck attached to cane and held by a metal ferrule .25 in wide. 5 in from top is a hole through the cane with metal grommets at both ends.
Hand painted feather fan with pierced bone stays and white feathers. Painted on one side is multicolor spray of flowers with perching bird.
The 20 feathers connect on back with string near midpoint. First and last bone stays are nearly as long as the feathers while remainder of stays are only 3.25" long. Fan spreads open at pivot point at bottom where a stirrup shaped wire is riveted to bottom ends of stays with mother-of-pear washers. Hanging off wire is a double length of braided silk cord, decoratively knotted near midpoint. Cord ends wrap around small beads and unbraided individual threads extend from beads to create tassels. Accompanied by small hand-lettered label: "Fan - mid 19th century."
Front bone stay is cracked and broken at three places along its length. Cellophane tape hold first break from bottom. Soil and stain overall, especially on cord.
