Letter from James Buchanan to H. B. Swarr asking him to dine on sauerkraut with Mr. Baker along with the Misses North and Brown and perhaps Mr. Cooper and stating he has loaned W. B. Reed $3,000, but Mr. Reed would prefer the transaction go through Mr. Swarr. Wheatland.

This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009.
