Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson expressing surprise and delight at receiving her “extra” letter which he received a day late because the President and his party were still in the country and he is happy that her mother guards her well; reports that talking to her mother was gratifying especially since Mary’s grandmother was feeling better; the president of the Austrian ministry would like to present an autographed letter to the President in person; met her Uncle Peter and his wife this morning; has not seen Dan or the girls but will soon; will move back to the city very soon; his friend Schraff appears to have shaken the blues over a love affair; hopes she will be well enough to visit him soon.
