Henry expressing sorrow over Mrs. Magruder’s accident; Louisa is gaining strength and the baby [William] is doing well; Mrs. Pennelt paid a visit; Elizabeth is not good at finding a nurse because she sent a 19-year-old girl from another country who had been with Mrs. Outerbridge; doesn’t want to hire a woman who will leave after a brief time; asks him to find a woman in Annapolis and she wouldn’t mind “a nice looking light-colored woman” but not “a great big black woman.” Envelope edged in black with postmark addressed to James Buchanan Henry, Esq.
