After usual greetings, says he has telegraphed her that they will be home on Thursday because of scarlet fever in the area; asks her to arrange for children’s care on a farm and is greatly concerned about the issue; is caring well for James and Ellen since Lulie has gone home; hoping that she can come back soon. Henry debating at length whether she should attempt to travel to Lake George since she is still nursing because a wet nurse is very expensive and the milk might not agree with the baby and her father advises against making the journey; Jamie is well and Jamie’s photograph is enclosed; Dr. Eccleston misses James Buchanan Henry from church, comments on all the boys and said that Mrs. Courtenay had her fourth set of twins; wonders if the Keasaye had been ordered home; and sends love to Dody.
