Saxton to accompany him back to New York; hopes she is having a great visit with Misses Mary and Margie; Mr. Stoeckl brought “the Malachites” jewelry to him; and asks her to visit West Point with him, if she is well enough; business is slow just now. The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. He worked as a schoolteacher in Elizabeth Township and by 1910 was working as a bookkeeper for Bayonne Steel Casting Company in Reading, PA. He married Aimee Brubaker in 1910 and had two children: Verna and David.
