Two images of a pewter flagon given to the Peters Church in Mount Joy Township by John Derr in 1771. Inscription on the flagon is in German.
When the Buffalo Day Express left the rails on the Pennsy's main line a mile east of Mt. Joy on April 28, 1909 it attracted enough interest to generate a whole series of view cards showing the cars helter skelter all over the tracks but apparently the carnage was at a minimum which allowed one of the trains porters to pose in his clean white jacket.
