Photograph- Ashmore P. Patterson, b. 1860, d. 1938, was born in Little Britain Township, son of John L. and Ann Eliza Black Patterson. Raised on a farm in Fulton Township. He was a fine machinist and invetned the swother and gleaner, attachments for binders, for which he obtained patents. Patent was sold to McCormack and used on their binders.
