This is a wartime biography of General Edward Hand written by one of his descendants. The majority of this book describes the events in Hand's life during the Revolutionary War. General Hand was born in Ireland , served in the British army prior to the American revolution, and was living in Lancaster,Pa. at the start of the Revolution.He served in the American Continental Army during the war and returned to live in Lancaster following the war.He practiced medicine and served in local and state government.
