The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
Letter. [Unknown] to E. P. [sic] Moore, Northwestern Elevator Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Response to attached letter. Thanks Moore and his cousin for relating the history of Thaddeus Stevens's cane, as well as that of Moore's father, who presented it to Stevens. 10 February 1914.
Letter. E. R. Moore to unidentified cousin. Discusses recent interest in Stevens's cane due to its acquisition by Congressman Griest. Describers Moore's father, E. L.
