"This volume comprises the laws and resolutions passed during two sessions of the legislature, from December 2d, 1806, until March 28th, 1808, inclusive.--In printing the acts of the second session, an error ... occurred in the paging. The paging instead of having reference to, and being in continuation of the laws of the first session, begins with number one ... such reference in the index, having an asterisk (*) affixed to it, is intended to direct to a page of the laws passed during the second session."--Preface, p.
