“The Balls are Rolling – Clear the Track.” Large cartoon favoring Fremont and Dayton as proponents of the Constitution, Liberty and Union sit like an eagle above the fray and Pierce and Buchanan are being crushed by the platform adopted by the Democrats at the Cincinnati convention, with Kansas being the major scene of conflict.
