Lancaster, Pa. Stand Pipe at Reservoir Park. The water supply of Lancaster is obtained from Conestoga Creek, and is unlimited quantity and exceptional purity. A pumping station with a capacity of 20,000,000 gallons per day forces the water to two reservoirs whence it is distributed through more than 60 miles of mains. The water plant is valued at over $1,000,000.
