Letterhead for United States Hotel, Saratoga Springs, N. Y. With envelope addressed to Miss Marry C Speer, 1st National Bank, Pittsburgh, Pa. with postmark and stamp mailed from Fifth Avenue Hotel, Madison Square, New York on 22 September 81 at 12 p.m. United States Hotel, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Letter from Harriet Lane Johnston to Mary Speer describing voyage to Liverpool on slow ship with uninteresting passengers except for Bishop Dudley and Dora Mudock from Baltimore; Mary not well enough to travel to Scotland after Chester; and Charley Richardson having attached himself to them aboard ship. Stationery of the R. M. S. Majestic, envelope postmarked with stamp at Chester, England, Ju 14, 00 addressed to Miss Mary C. Speer, Craft Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U S of America. Postmark on reverse of envelope marked Rec’d Jun 23, 1900. At sea.
