On the reverse is an engraving of the Philadelphia Gas Works—First Ward, Thursday June 14, 1860 – 11 o’clock, A.M. Jno. C. Cresson, Chief Engineer is written in top right-hand corner. Philadelphia.

Democratic ticket for Virginia depicting engravings of James Buchanan, candidate for President, and J. C. Breckinridge, candidate for Vice President. The list of electors for Virginia include their districts and the counties they represented. The election was held on Tuesday, 4 November 1856.
