Manuscript copy of a rental agreement between Joshua Stevens of Indiana and Fountain Black of Kentucky for Stevens' house on Washington Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
An act to incorporate the city of Lancaster with the several subsequent acts relating thereto; and the ordinances for the regulation of the said city, passed by the Select and Common Councils
This pair of American Empire brass andirons feature large turned finials with a mushroom cap. The finials surmount small canisters with turnings at the top and base. The uprights are supported by raised scroll bases on ball feet and a wrought iron back for holding logs.
One pair of Chippendale brass and iron andirons. Contains large reeded ball at top, three graduated small balls center and large ball at base. Snake turned base with two small balls each side of snake turning. Rear of base small turned ball with double column base.
