Pleasanton must ask Harriet Johnston for the Bible, as it is probably not the one drawn by James Buchanan Henry; asserting his right to distribute the canes as he sees fit; doubting that Mrs. Magaw will receive any more money at present; and mentioning receipt of the modified advertisement for the farm from Mr. Williams. Swarr saying that he has enrolled his nephew John Weaver in Claymont School and asking reimbursement for fees and clothing; asking reimbursement from the estate for his travel and expenses on behalf of the estate; needing an advance of a few thousand dollars because three of his children probably will be married in the near future but asking that no one else be told of the coming marriages; asking for $100 each for his niece Maria B. Weaver and her brother James B. Weaver; expecting the wines to sell well; hoping to meet with Mr. Howell in Laurel Hill; enclosing a note that Mr. Henry received from William and John O’Brien; planning to discuss the sale of the securities when he is in Lancaster; and having received the farm advertisements.
