She praises a concert given by pianist [Maurice] Strakosch and Miss Northall and urges him to purchase a piano like it. She advises him to direct his letters to the Marine Pavilion Rockaway to differentiate it from the town of Rockaway on Long Island. Signed Harriette L. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
Register of pastoral duties of Edward Y. Buchanan “since my admission to the holy order of Deacons by the Right Rev. William White, in St. James’s Church, Philadelphia on Sunday 8 July 1832” listing baptisms, marriages, burials, etc. by date; includes dates, places, and texts of sermons. 253 pages leather bound. Removed from between pages 188-189, four loose pages of church accounts dated 1853-1857; removed from between pages 200-201, one sheet of church accounts dated 1854-1855. 8 July 1832-2 May 1864.
