Mr. Pyne agreeing to stay on following an inspiring address by Mr. Carlisle, attending a reception at the Navy Yard for the wedding of one of Com. Buchanan’s daughters, and the mourning of Mrs. Harris on the death of the Colonel’s two brothers. Washington, D.C. 3 April [1856-1860].
