Henry to Louisa Anderson expressing satisfaction that things are going well at home; gives an account of his excursions of the last few days; comments on the unusually warm weather; visited a colonel to see Mrs. Wright, an old friend, but met only her three daughters and her husband; hoped to see Miss Dora but was disappointed; the Braytons, Binghams, and Ruevals left and not many people left; Randy could not come; hopes Frank is improving in health and business; some of Ives’s relatives [ ___ ] visited the yacht; Captain Clark and granddaughter dropped by and she liked the picture of Jamie; hopes to be reunited soon; apparently Colonel Thompson’s article was not published. Henry advising to have Jamie keep his application to the Naval Academy on file in case0 someone, probably Bridgman, drops out; if so, Anderson will urge the Secretary to appoint Jamie; is concerned with the way Mr. Kapff has ignored both of them and recommends having a lawyer clear up the matter instead of turning matters over to slow-acting Mr. Greenfield; his baby is better; and Aunt Paulina died with only about a dozen attending the funeral because Mr. [Oothout] put no notice in the paper.
