Letter from E. Y. Buchanan to H. B. Swarr noting that he has promised his son James $2000 from the estate and offering to pay interest on the amount to ward of charges of favoritism; supposing that he has received the amount of their mortgage on Mr. Reed’s place; hoping that the Clarion County deed reached him safely; noting that he and Mr. Reed have decided not to publish any estate papers until a forthcoming letter of Judge Black about Mr. Stanton has appeared; and noting that Jessie Magaw should receive her inheritance from the estate soon and suggesting that Captain Magaw be reminded of his indebtedness to the estate.
