Letter from Joseph Henry to J. B. Henry happy to get Christmas greetings; reports that his physical condition is excellent except for contracting a fever; the diseases in Cuba are less severe than in the Philippines; mentions the excellent record of his regiment; life is primitive and he is the only one with a room, even if in the hospital; hopes to be transferred to Washington before the trip to Italy; thinks Reg will be all right and wises well to all the boys. Manzanillo, Cuba. Circa [1900].

Custodial History
The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
