Henry reporting that he is temporarily in Pittsburgh running large department; misses the rural aspects of Greensburg and hates the heat and dirt of the city; is sorry about Rob’s hard luck; Reg sent him news from Lake George, which he would like to be there later when the family goes on its launch, but will be working; at least he will go camping at Conneaut Lake with his regiment. Envelope with postmarks and imprint of a stamp addressed to Mr. J. Buchanan Henry, Maryland Hotel, Annapolis, Maryland; in another hand: Willy on is removal with regrets from Greensburg to Pittsburg. Henry expressing joy that he and Margaret are enjoying Italy and hopes to visit someday; had a family reunion in Washington with Aunt Lena, the girls, Frank, Sid, and Reg; met a friend at the Pittsburgh railroad station; in Cambridge to check of the small railroad shop; the drought has reduced the streams so much that the water is not suitable for the engines; hopes for a mild winter to aid in running the engines; Jean and Rob are settled in their apartment which Sid finds cozy; and is attending a “stag” party thrown by a good customer of the railroad and will be attended by “big bugs” such as the mayor.
