Rifle with flint lock, full stock of curly maple, brass mountings, octagonal barrel with J. Hoak engraved on the top facet of the barrel. This rifle is carved on the cheek side but its outstanding merit is its beautifully engraved patch box. This pattern was used by a few Lancaster County gunsmiths who made fine rifles.
