Description
Letter from Frank Anderson to J. B. Henry preparing to leave New York for Fortress Monroe; saw Reg for lunch but missed Rob; thinks Reg might find a place in the Pay Corps and offers names of people of influence: Mrs. Davis’s brother married into the Paymaster General’s family and Colonel Thompson and Captain Brownson might also help; tells of Charley Robson's good fortune to work for the American Copper Company, which seems to have a bright future; and asks for the addresses of Miss Irving and Frank. Envelope with postmarks and stamp addressed to J. Buchanan Henry, Esq, Hotel Maryland, Annapolis, MD. USS Alabama, Navy Yard, New York, NY.
