Letter from J. B. Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson
Description
Letter from J. B. Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson saying he left Lancaster this morning and arrived in Philadelphia in time for breakfast and to transact some business for the President and himself; her mother is improving but was disturbed at the inference that his lack of writing meant he didn’t love Mary as much as he ought; will be in New York today; asks if the Napiers are happy that the Curaçao had arrived and that Lord Lyons likes Madeira to much; and asks who is chasing “that German baron.” Envelope with postmark and stamp addressed to Miss Mary H.
