This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. The Norwich Aurora - Extra, Norwich, Connecticut. The issue is dedicated to Buchanan's inauguration. It provides an eighteenth century play-by-play of Buchanan's life beginning with the Presidential election, travel from Wheatland to Washington, and his inaugural address. There are other articles of national importance regarding the Missouri Compromise and the Supreme Court ruling in the Dred Scott case; Kansas; President Pierce; and George Washington. The local news pertains to the upcoming Connecticut state and local elections. Corner of pages 3 and 4 is missing.

Eichholtz travelled to Boston in 1811-12 to study with accomplished portrait artist, Gilbert Stuart. This travel was sponsored by Rev. Thomas Barton, rector of St. James Episcopal Church. Barton also commissioned this copy of Stuart's portrait of Washington.

Window display at Hagers Department store. Sign in store window "George Washington Period Herirlooms, Displayed thru the courtesy of Lancaster City Residents in Co-operation of the Washington Bi-Centennial Celebration." Items include a 45 star American Flag (Utah was the 45th state added and not until 1896, so the flag is not a "period heirloom!") Other items: Portrait of Martha Washington, Tea set, needle point foot stool, candle stick basket various pieces of furniture and a rifle.
