Notes
The Pennsylvania Reserves were an infantry division in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Noted for its famous commanders and high casualties, it served in the Eastern Theater, and fought in many important battles, including Antietam and Gettysburg.
'Red, white and blue striped ribbon, folded over on top, fringed on bottom edge. A photo of the head of Benjamin Harrison with his signature below is attached to the ribbon. On the left side, both corners are attached with red thread to match the stripe. On the right, blue thread matches the stripe behind it.
Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) was the 23rd president of the U.S. (1889-1893).
White ribbon with black ink image of a man with full beard and mustache, looking to the right. What looks like "A. Zeese & Co." is printed on the the man's right lapel. Top edge turned and stitched to front, covering "8th Ward."
