Note attached to cover of v. 1: "This binder contains the original manuscript of "Let the Buyer Have Faith," a history of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (formerly Armstrong Cork Company) published in 1988 and written by William A. Mehler, Jr. In an effort to make the book seem more readable for a general audience, footnotes were not included in the published version. This binder shows the text annotated with sources of information."
Note attached to cover of v. 2: "This binder, entitled "Management Commentaries," contains materials prepared by William A. Mehler, Jr. as a supplement to his book "Let the Buyer Have Faith," a history of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (formerly Armstrong Cork Company), published in 1988. Intended for members of the management organization, it describes the historical philosophies of the Company as applied to various parts of the management process."
