Within the red lines are included the lots laid out by James Hamilton, Esq. with streets and alley's thereto and his other lands within the borough of Lancaster, taken from draughts furnished by Ed. Shippen, Esq. by Mr. Hamilton's directions that part called Adam's Town being included. Within the green lines are included the lots laid out by and held under Mr. Samuel Bethel, within the said borough, with the streets and alleys thereto taken from draughts furnished by his agent. Within the blue lines are included the lots laid out by Henry Musser and John Mosser within the said borough with streets and alleys thereto taken from the original drafts. To the west of Poplar Street are some lots laid out by Mr. Isaac Whitelock with Meadow St. and some few lots adjoining.
