This journal article of 1914 laments the demolition of the historic Shippen family home at the northwest corner of the intersection of Lime and Orange streets in Lancaster,Pa. He gives a history of several other buildings in Lancaster which have disappeared as well over the years, though he writes in most detail about the Shippen house and the various people who have lived there.
