Corrected manuscript attributed to Harriet Lane Johnston, describing James Buchanan’s love for Wheatland, a house “well adapted for entertainment or domestic comfort,” which will be forever associated with his “sage advice and witty anecdotes,” and the spring from which someone “often brought him water fresh from its cool depths.” 6 leaves.
