Older man holding a large silver pitcher standing next to an open china cabinet displaying various pieces of glassware and silver. Man may be John Hiemenz.
Fall promotion catalog from 1986. Possibly by Bruce Fox Design. Silve or pewter pitchers, creamers, sugar bowls, serving utensils and salt and pepper shakers.
Pitchers were made in many shapes and sizes for a variet of purposes. There were small pear shaped ones for cream, and late in the 18th century some larger examples simulated the shape of a ceramic style commonly known as Liverpool. This one was made by Paul Revere and presented to Rev. Joseph McKean by a number of his friends and parishoners of Milton, 1804. Courtesy Winterthur Museum
