Description
Outside: Red leather-covered, rectangular wood sewing box. Elevated on four gold lion's paw feet. Edges of box curve in to meet feet. Two handles on sides of lion's head with rings through the mouths. 2 decorative brass plates: one tacked center front with a key hole in it; the second is centered on the top.
Inside: Base inside lined with green paper. Lid insert is framed and padded: scene of a bare-chested female in a bird-drawn wheeled seat flying through the clouds with 2 winged cherubs.
Printing on lower right looks like: "J. Smith Sculp" (?)
